Windows is made up of system files. If these files are missing or corrupt, then issues may occur on the system. To resolve these issues, we can use an inbuilt utility called SFC Scan. An SFC Scan searches for missing or corrupt files in a system and replaces them if possible. The procedure to run an SFC Scan is as follows:
Search for Command Prompt in the Windows Search bar.
Click on Run as administrator in the right pane to open the elevated Command Prompt window.
Type the following command in the elevated Command Prompt window to run the SFC Scan:
SFC /SCANNOW
Reboot the system once the scan has completed.
